Mothers (in most cases) play a very important role in a child's life. While it becomes difficult to handle a fussy eater, many indian moms prefer home cooked food which we call Satvik food. It  is simple, easy to digest and has many benefits.   My mom like other moms too had a tough time when it came to cooking food.  Daily we would ask the same question "What's for lunch / dinner?" I guess for moms that's the only question that keeps bothering them the entire day.   In my house, Fenugreek is something that gets used every now and then. I use it in vegetables including palak paneer, i make theplas (both with fresh and dry leaves) and parathas.  Not only i use it in food, but also to my hair. Gardening is something i never had to learn, i come from a family where my ancestors have been associated with farming.  I believe in organic food and hence to live a better life, i started growing my own food and flowers.  I started with hibiscus and now i have almost 200 plants.  Now the question that might just pop up in your head : "Do you have a big garden?" No, i don't, it's not too big, but good enough to grow my own veggies and flowers.  Gardening has helped me in many ways, my home is not just my home but shelter for many from birds to honeybees to caterpillars to pets (Yes, i do have a cute lil pup).  As soon i wake up, the first thing i do is open the window and feel the freshness in the air. It's an instant boost to my mood and in no time you will find me smiling.
